Roof Lift Loft Conversions
Have you been told that you haven't got enough head height in your detached property and that a loft conversion cannot be carried out?
If so, here at TVM Lofts we have the answer - a Roof Lift Loft Conversion.
If the original height of the roof is too low to meet with building regulations for head room in loft conversions then a roof lift is
the option that you can feel confident in. A roof lift adds head height to your property, allowing you to have a larger surface area to
work with.
Examples of how TVM Lofts have carried out roof lift loft conversions can be seen below:
Roof Lift in Everton
This detatched bungalow was given a whole first floor as a result of a roof lift.

Original hipped roof before TVM carried out the roof lift loft conversion.

We needed to put scaffolding up to secure the area when were carrying out all the roof works.

The whole of the original roof need to be stripped off ready for the new attic trusses to be lifted into place.

Here are the new attic trusses that are going to be lifted on to the property.

The new attic trusses are lifted into place by using a crane.

Side shot of the works being carried out.

The new roof is now taking shape.

Here you can see the crane that we used to lift the trusses into place.

This is the new pitch of the roof - a dramatic difference from the original hipped roof.

We start to make the divides for each new room as per the drawings.

This loft conversion was a roof lift dormer conversion - here the dormers have been incorporated into the new roof.

The interior is insulated, plaster boarded and then plastered ready to receive clients own decoration.

The roof is then re-felted and re-tiled with the gables being built up.

The new pitched roof dormer windows have been put into position with new fascias at the top.

As you can see we were able to carry out an exact brick match on the gable end.

The interior is decorated with the clients own choice.

Second fix joinery, electrical and plumbing works are carried out.

Decoration complete in the new living area.
Roof Lift in Wootton
This detatched house was given an entire second floor first floor as a result of a roof lift.

Existing roof height at a property in Wootton before the roof-lift loft conversion takes place.

We have stripped all the original tiles, felt and trusses ready to lift in the new attic trusses.

All of the new attic trusses are now in place.

We insulate the entire new loft space once all first fix electrics and plumbing have been carried out.

The gable ends are bricked up to match the existing and then the roof is re-felted, re-tiled with the Velux windows installed.

Here we have begun to plasterboard throughout the area, then we skim all the plasterboard, ready to receive the clients own decoration.

The exterior of the new roof is now complete and this shot shows you how much we have increased the original roof by.

This is the completed loft conversion.
