Here Are Some Design Ideas You Might Like For Your Roof Lift
Here is just a quick selection of some of the roof lift layouts we have used in recent projects. As we offer a bespoke service, each roof loft is designed around you and your home. Our in-house architect and design team will work one on one with you to design the perfect solution to make the ideal living space.

Large Master Bedroom with Ensuite & Dressing Area
This family home needed an extra bedroom, as they had outgrown their current property. As the kids were settled and in a good school the couple didn’t want to move. Working closely with the customer, we extended their current home sideways over the garage. We completed a roof lift over both the new extension and the original hipped roof. The final layout meant the couple now have a large luxury space just for them, including a fully fitted ensuite and dressing area. The box room which made way to a small office and stairs to the roof space, was also replaced with a large 4th bedroom over the garage.
The end result turned their cramped 3 bedroom house, into a spacious 4 bedroom home. The parents were happy with a new place to escape, and the kids had room to grow into. Plus the home valuation increased significantly with the increased floor space, the ensuite and an extra bedroom.
Two Big Bedrooms Both With Ensuite
The TVM Lofts specialist team worked closely on this project to create some unique ideas. The first allowed us to create an overhang over the walkway of the building. This created a small covered walkway the length of the building.
With the additional roof we went onto design a luxury layout, with 2 great sized bedrooms, both having an ensuite. The master bedroom also has its own dressing room, which goes onwards into the ensuite.
Both rooms are reached via the new handmade stairs, with feature gallery landing. All of this is brightly lit using a large feature velux window over the main staircase area. The light from the feature window, also spills down into the open plan entranceway, giving this a light and open feeling from the original small corridor.

Three Bedrooms With Family Bathroom And Separate Shower Room
For this project we gave the home a roof lift which allowed us to gain extra floor space in the loft, allowing us to convert it into 3 bedrooms, along with a main bathroom and a separate shower room. Two of the bedrooms were designed as single rooms, whereas the third will be used as the master bedroom.
This roof lift was applied to a bungalow which meant that once completed room was freed up on the ground floor which gave additional general living space to the customer.
